General Delivery Policy
- The above Delivery Fees quoted whether Normal Delivery or Special Delivery regardless of how many Product(s) purchased are for one (1) specific location in Singapore. If more than one (1) Place of Delivery, customer(s) shall pay the delivery fees according to the number of Place of Delivery and the option of the delivery. Anything outside of the standard delivery criteria may incur additional delivery costs.
- On-site assembly on the same day of delivery is included.
- For the promotional delivery rate above, delivery date is subjected to ruma truck's schedule. We will deliver within the stated time frame above. The delivery date will be determined by ruma delivery team and we will inform customer at least 8-10 working days prior to actual delivery date.
- Delivery time frame may extend if customer does not accept the first delivery truck schedule. Customer shall wait for the next truck schedule which may exceed the time frame provided above.
- For customers who would like to pick the delivery date/special request, the delivery fee will be charged as the premium delivery fee (minimum purchased amount is required as the above table).
- No delivery shall be done on:
- Normal Delivery – Sundays and Public Holidays (Malaysia & Singapore)
- Premium Delivery – Sundays and Public Holidays (Malaysia) - Cross-border documents fee of MYR350 applied for every order/delivery per trip.
- Singapore Goods and Cross-Border Surcharge 9% applies.
- Delivery of items/furniture will only be to ground/first level/levels with lift access for the property. Customer must inform ruma in prior before confirming the delivery appointment if the item is to be installed/delivered to higher level without lift access.
- Any residential restriction related to delivery must be informed to our team in prior to delivery day as it may incur extra service charges.
- Our team is unable to undertake installation works that require permanent fixing on your home's physical structure or any electrical works such as wall drilling and installation of pendant lighting.
- During peak season, the standard delivery time frame might stretch to 3-6 weeks.
- For any order that includes pre-order items, delivery will only be made in a single shipment once all the items are ready and in stock. However, if the customer wishes to request a partial delivery for the ready-stock items first, additional delivery charges and a Singapore fee will apply.
Change & Cancellation Policy
- Changes, cancellation or refund is only allowed within 30 days from the purchased date and before delivery schedule is confirmed by our team.
- Changes made must be of the same or not less than the original item amount. Any cancellation or refund made during this time is subjected to administration fees of 3% with an additional RM 10 for Telegraphic Transfer charges.
- Our team will contact you 10-14 days before the estimated delivery date for delivery confirmation. Once our team has contacted you to confirm the delivery schedule, orders are non-changeable, non-cancellable and non-refundable.
- After the order has been delivered to you, the order is non changeable, non cancellable and non refundable.
Defect & Exchange Policy
- Singapore Orders are subject to the Warranty Coverage & Limitations (Singapore) as published on RUMA’s official website. Customers are deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to the applicable terms prior to purchase and delivery.
- 14-Day Satisfaction Guarantee is not applicable for order(s) delivery to Singapore.
- Customer are advised to check the items delivered before our driver leave the house. If item rejected by customer due to defect, the defective items may have to leave at the customer place until the next Ruma truck to Singapore for replacement or repair. The replacement or repair date is subjected to Ruma's decision and truck's schedule.
- If the item needs to be returned because it is faulty or as a result of RUMA's fault, RUMA will not charge.

Additional charges (pay directly to transporter)
As RUMA is engaging with 3rd party transporter service, it is important to note that unforeseen circumstances may arise during delivery, leading to additional time, manpower and the possibility of extra charges that needs to be paid directly to the transporter. The circumstances are as follow:

Yes. Singapore customers can shop furniture from Ruma and arrange delivery to Singapore, subject to ruma’s Singapore delivery terms and conditions. Customers may also visit the ruma outlet at Paradigm Mall Johor Bahru to view selected furniture pieces before purchasing. Singapore deliveries may involve cross-border documentation fees, applicable Singapore charges, and delivery access requirements such as lift access or ground / first-level delivery.
2. Is it cheaper for Singapore customers to buy furniture from Malaysia?
Buying furniture from Malaysia can be more affordable for some Singapore customers, especially when comparing larger furniture pieces or furnishing multiple rooms. However, the final cost should include product price, delivery fees, cross-border documentation, Singapore goods or surcharge charges, and property access requirements. ruma provides Singapore delivery subject to its Singapore delivery terms and conditions.
3. How much is delivery from JB to Singapore?
For Singapore delivery, the delivery fee depends on your total furniture purchase amount.Normal delivery starts from MYR 300 per trip + MYR 350 document fee for purchases between MYR 1,500 and MYR 15,000. For purchases between MYR 15,000.01 and MYR 25,000, the delivery fee is MYR 1,000 per trip + MYR 350 document fee.For larger orders or premium delivery, the fee starts from MYR 2,400 per truck/trip + MYR 350 document fee, depending on the order value and delivery arrangement.
4. Are Singapore GST, customs fees, and delivery charges included in the final price?
Yes, your Singapore delivery quotation will include the applicable delivery fee, cross-border document fee, and Singapore Goods and Cross-Border Surcharge.A MYR 350 document fee applies for every Singapore order or delivery trip, and a 9% Singapore Goods and Cross-Border Surcharge applies. These charges will be calculated into your order total before confirmation.Please note that additional charges may apply if there are special delivery conditions, such as no suitable lift access, long walking distance from the unloading area, extra waiting time, or other building restrictions.
5. How long does Singapore delivery take?
Singapore delivery usually takes around 10–20 working days, depending on your order value and delivery arrangement.For normal delivery, orders between MYR 1,500 and MYR 15,000 usually take 10–20 working days, while orders between MYR 15,000.01 and MYR 25,000 usually take 10–15 working days.During peak periods, the delivery timeframe may extend to around 3–6 weeks. If you require a preferred delivery date, premium delivery may be available upon request, subject to order value and schedule availability.
6. Does Ruma provide assembly for Singapore deliveries?
Yes, on-site assembly is included for Singapore deliveries and will be done on the same day as delivery.However, this does not include installation work that requires permanent fixing to your home’s structure or electrical work, such as wall drilling or pendant light installation.
7. What happens if my furniture arrives damaged or does not fit?
Please check your furniture carefully before the driver leaves. If an item arrives defective, let our delivery team know immediately. If the item is rejected due to a defect, it may need to remain at your place until the next Ruma truck to Singapore is arranged for replacement or repair.If the issue is due to a faulty item or Ruma’s fault, Ruma will not charge for the return.Before confirming your order, please make sure the furniture can fit through your lift, doorway, corridor, staircase, and delivery path. Customers should inform Ruma in advance about any building restrictions, lift limitations, staircase access, or special delivery conditions. Once an order has been delivered, it is non-changeable, non-cancellable, and non-refundable.
